OVA 2
A serial killer has been murdering young women on the subway at night. When Subaru witnesses one of these murders he becomes a key witness in the case. He meets Mirei, a lady who possesses the power to see into the past. As the police become more reliant on Mirei's abilities she's forced to watch murder after murder. Bearing such a painful ability on her own is slowly tearing her apart, but she's determined to help catch the killer. Will Subaru be able to help her? Is Mirei cursed to live through the pain on her own?

Good points

This is my favorite OVA out of the two for good reason. It's very emotional. Even the lesser characters have personalities that make them lovable. Instead of simply saying the old line "I don't know whether it's a gift or a curse", Tokyo Babylon draws the viewer in to see exactly why she thinks that. After helplessly standing by and watching young woman after woman being murdered Mirei is haunted by nightmares. Somehow the way the young woman are shown even makes them likable. Such as the first one that Subaru sees. She's calmly reading a book, probably on her way home, when she's brutally murdered. It shows the entire scene in gruesome detail and doesn't leave anyone guessing why Mirei has such a difficult time watching the murders. This episode goes into a lot of depth and I truly wish there were more Tokyo Babylon OVAs to watch like this one.

Bad points

The only part that bothered me was towards the end when everyone just ends up at the same place. Especially Mr. Random Guy, whom I shall not name to avoid spoilers, who just happens to be there clinking away at the wall. Is he even permitted to be there? He's stealing important pieces of the subway, someone stop him!
