Age~ It's not just a number.
A lot of people, especially younger people, like to provide the argument that age is just a number.
Many years ago I was in an argument with a cocky young man who thought he knew a lot more than me because he read a lot. I was seven years older than him, and had been making webpages for awhile.
He stated he read an absurd amount of webpage related articles every year. Which is nice, but you can take out the articles that repeat each other, and subtract the ones that have incorrect information.
Either way, I was still several years older. Even if I read much less articles every year, I would have still read more than he had. And had more time to practice what I learned.
There's a big difference between a 10 year old and a 20 year old.
There's a big difference between a 15 year old and a 20 year old.
Don't believe me? My high school had an interesting idea. Everyone who entered the first year had to write a letter to themselves that they wouldn't see again until Senior year.
When we were about to graduate they gave us our letters back. I didn't even know half of what I was talking about. Everyone was shocked by the odd stuff they said only 4 years before that they had thought was so important.
Before I entered high school I'd never made a webpage. Leaving high school I knew HTML well.
You learn things over time. That's just how it is. When you're a child acting like you know everything, it just looks silly to adults. Not just because we have more experience, but most of us can remember being that way, too.
Just think about this next time you want to say that age doesn't matter. Age is just the number of years you've been alive. Take whatever age you are now, and think of five years in the future. Do you honestly believe you won't learn anything new in those five years? Because when you say that age is just a number, you're arguing that all those years don't make any difference. And if they don't make any difference, it would mean you're not learning anything.
Hopefully you would grow just a little after five more years.
